Co-Op Experience

MFS Investment Management - Digital Marketing Co-Op
Boston, MA - Headquarters
Duration: Six Months

Role: MFS severed ties with social media company and brought the entire digital marketing process in house within one month from the start of my Co-Op. Served as main lead for schedules and staff training on the new system. Developed business process mapping/workflow while overseeing content publishing and management. Monitored/upgraded content calendar and wrote processes for social media platforms. Worked with cross-functional staff (HR, Sales, etc.) to create new content.

Experience: My role at MFS was the best experience I could have asked for in a Co-Op. I was given more responsibility than some full-time employees and wrote/owned the new and still in use social media workflow for the company. I was trusted to get the job done and given the freedom to do so. During my time there, I gained countless leadership and project management skills that I utilized in my second Co-Op at Liberty Mutual.

Liberty Mutual Insurance - Customer Engagement Co-Op
Boston, MA - Headquarters
Duration: Six Months

Role: Supported the Customer Engagement Team with analytics focusing on specific KPIs (% Helpful, CTR, OR, etc.) to determine the advantage of email and direct mail campaigns for the consumer and company. Created trend reports to determine customer feedback and reporting progress of new campaigns during the testing phase with quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Experience: I enjoyed my time working at Liberty Mutual. I had a great team that worked hard and was dedicated to helping me achieve my goals. While this role was not the best fit for me as it was extremely heavy in analytics, I now have an appreciation for KPIs and other metrics that will allow me to make better business decisions in the future.
